It's a strip mall. Home to a supermarket, a dollar store, a few restaurants, and a couple of the local dinosaurs like the music store that sells vinyl records and the pizza place with an arcade cab for Turtles in Time at the front. This is for describing the shopping cart races, parking lot standoffs, criminally priced gyro joints, and whatever else may happen in this little sunbaked plot of Americana. Or whatever country this is supposed to be taking place in.

Potemkin (Cop AU) | Guilty Gear

Potemkin is the beat cop of this shopping plaza, languishing in the police car (somehow) when not walking in the stores themselves, shiny golden badge reflecting the afternoon sun well against a blue uniform. The less devoted to justice might have considered such an assignment a slight against them, but like with every job Potemkin holds it to such magnitude of importance like he might encounter the King of Crime himself in the parking lot.

It does seem to be paying off in some ways. The average teenager is scared off from so much as littering in his general radius. But the extra effort expended brings new downsides too. All that coffee needed to stay focused, for instance, causes some incessant bathroom calls.

A robot holds a sign advertising for the pizza place every afternoon from 10 to 4. Why the hell does Gino's Pizzeria get a robot? Questions like these remain unanswerable as Canti is as mute as an inanimate signpost. He's technically an employee, maybe you could ask him for change?
